Decidí inaugurar una nueva sección en el blog que se llamará: «NAIL ART» donde estaré posteando fotos de decoración de uñas que me inspiran, mis propios inventos y todo lo relacionado con el tema. El look de hoy pretendían ser gotas de sangre para estar acorde a Halloween pero no salieron como lo esperaba asi que me tiré para el lado de colocar labios rojos en un fondo blanco. Recuerden: no soy manicura ni nada parecido así que sepan disculpar la desprolijidad que puedan tener los diseños.

I`ve decided to create a new section on the blog to be called «NAIL ART« where I will be posting pictures of nail art that inspire me, my own inventions and everything related to the topic. The look of today claimed to be drops of blood to be in keeping with Halloween but did not turn out as expected so I pulled it to the side to put red lips on a white background. Remember: I’m not a pro in nail art or anything related so excuse the untidiness that may have the designs.

Buscando imagenes «grunge» para armar un inspiration-board, me encontré con esta sesión de fotos por Hedi Slimane de Frances Bean Cobain que me dejó sin aliento. Para quienes no saben quien es por lo menos su apellido les debe resultar familiar. Francis es la única hija de Kurt Cobain con Courtney Love y es evidente que obtuvo su belleza y actitud de ambas partes.

Looking for images «grunge» online to build an inspiration-board, I found this photoshoot by Hedi Slimane of Frances Bean Cobain that left me breathless. For those who do not know who she is, at least her last name should be familiar. Francis is the only daughter of Kurt Cobain with Courtney Love whoms beauty and attitude apparently cames from both sides.

Antes que Rod Stewart sea quien es hoy existió «The Faces«, banda que lo llevó al estrellato con la compañía del rolling: Ron Wood. Maggie May es tal vez el tema más conocido de aquella época. Esta semana fue el tema más escuchado en mi iPod y lo comparto con ustedes. BTW: miren el look de Ron Wood: ¡quiero todo!.

Before Rod Stewart became who is now, there was «The Faces«, a band that brought him to stardom with the company of rolling: Ron Wood. Maggie May is perhaps the most popular song of that time. This week it was the most listened song on my iPod and I share it with you. BTW:check out the Ron Wood’s look: I want everything!.

En honor a Steve Jobs agregué una nueva sección al blog: «TUNE OF THE WEEK«, donde todas las semanas estaré mostrando la canción más escuchada en mi iPod. Yo creo que podría presindir de muchas cosas mundanas pero de mi iPod jamás. Se volvió en un elemento no solo de entretenimiento sino de trabajo con la incorporación del WiFi que me permite visitar sitios webs al instante y recibir todos mis correos. Steve Jobs fue el hombre que más aportes brindó en los últimos 50años para crear un mundo más integrador, ahora no sólo va a ser recordado como la cara de Apple sino que también se ha convertido en leyenda.

In memory of Steve Jobs I added a new section to the blog: «TUNE OF THE WEEK«, where every week I will be showing the most listened song on my iPod. I think  I could live without many mundane things but my iPod never. It not only became an element of entertainment but with the addition of WiFi that allows me to visit web sites and instantly receive all my emails I use it for work too. Steve Jobs was a man who gave great contributions in the last 50years to create a more inclusive world, now he will not only be remembered as the face of Apple but has also become a legend.

M.A.C Viva Glam Gaga

Después del trabajo tuve que hacer una pequeña parada en el shopping Abasto para ver regalos para el día de la madre y me encontré con el stand de M.A.C en la entrada. Tiene una estética minimalista en donde se lucen perfectamente todos sus productos. Mi objetivo era encontrar un labial perfecto para un look tranqui diario y la maquilladora me comentó de la edición especial «Viva Glam Gaga» donde la marca usa de musa inspiradora y co-diseñadora a la multifacética Lady Gaga. Al principio me asusté porque pensé que me iba a encontrar con un color bien vibrante pero quedé sorprendida. Tanto el lipstick como el lipglass vienen en un color «nude» particular que se funde perfecto en los labios. Fue amor a primera vista y me encontré con la necesidad de traerlo para casa, más aún cuando me enteré que el 100% de lo recaudado va para la lucha contra el SIDA.

Today after work I had to make a short stop at the Abasto shopping to see gifts for Mother’s Day and found the MAC booth at the entrance. It has a minimalist look where they perfectly show all the products. My goal was to find a perfect lipstick for a daily wear makeup and the makeup-artist told me about the special edition «Viva Glam Gaga» where the brand used as muse and co-designer the multi-faceted Lady Gaga. At first I was scared because I thought I would find a vibrant color but I was surprised. Both the lipstick and the lipglass come in «nude» that blends heavenly on the lips. It was love at first sight and I found the need to bring it home, even more when I knew that all the profits go to combat AIDS.
