D.I.Y. #7: Acid Wash

Con los nevados conquistando el mundo, decidí armar este tutorial para que todos podamos sumarnos a la tendencia con nuestro sello personal, porque el límite para este proyecto es puramente nuestra imaginación y técnica. El resultado nunca va a ser el mismo y eso es lo bello de este D.I.Y.
With the acid wash conquering the world, I decided to put together this tutorial for everyone to join the trend with our personal touch, because the limit for this project is purely our imagination and technique. The result will never be the same and that’s the beauty of this D.I.Y.

1. Banditas elásticas // Elastic bands.
2. Un jean viejo // A pair of old jeans.
3. Un balde c/2 partes de lavandina y 1 de agua // A bucket with 2parts of bleach and 1part of water.
1. Atar con las bandas elásticas todo el jean (esto marcará el diseño) // Tie the jean with the elastic bands (this will set up the design).
2. Colocarlo en el balde con lavandina y agua // Put it in the bucket with bleach and water.
3. Controlar hasta color deseado // Check it out until the desired color is done.
4. Preparar una balde sólo con agua para el lavado // Prepare another bucket with only water to start the wash.

1. Colocar rápidamente el bollo en el balde con agua // Quickly put it into the bucket with water.
2,3,4. Movimientos de lavado // Washing movements.
Para terminar dejar secar // To finish the project: let it dry.

El jean que utilicé fue negro por lo que no resultó exactamente como el diseño en el que me inspiré, pero quedé muy sorprendida con el resultado. Hay muchos estilos para hacer este tipo de nevados, les recomiendo el blog de mi amiga chaqueña: Ana Carolina donde le dio un giro interesante a este D.I.Y.
The jeans I used were black so it was not exactly like the design that inspired me, but I was very surprised with the outcome. There are many styles to make this kind of snow effect, I recommend the blog of my friend: Ana Carolina where she gave an interesting twist to this D.I.Y.
